Objective:
Create a full-color, highly realistic illustration of the Atari console unit and joystick controllers, ensuring they appear as if they are brand new. This should capture every detail, bringing the classic gaming system to life with vivid accuracy. In addition, develop a precise line art technical illustration of the Atari 2600 console, clearly labeling its various components to showcase the inner workings of this iconic device. Finally, design a poster that combines both the color illustration and the technical line drawing, enhanced by a thoughtfully crafted background. The background should feature a distinctive style or theme, such as a retro vibe, a nod to a specific video game, or an 80s aesthetic, adding depth and context to the overall design.
Solution:
For this project, both the illustration and poster were done in Adobe Illustrator. For the poster's look, what I did was take inspiration from retro sci-fi movie posters back in the 70s and 80s to give it that cyberpunk and vibrant look to the overall composition.
