An existing coffee establishment in London, Ontario, wants to revamp its logo and coffee cups. They are offering both sit-down and take-out services. The client seeks a meticulously crafted logo that encapsulates the essence of their coffee shop, which should subsequently be showcased on a 10-oz coffee cup. You’re entrusted with the creative freedom to determine the shop’s aesthetic, ambiance, and even its name, ensuring that the branding resonates with its envisioned identity.
Solution:
The first step was visiting the coffee shop to get a true sense of its atmosphere. I noticed their existing logo felt outdated, so I decided to create a modern, minimalist redesign aimed at appealing to a younger audience. To evoke a homey and welcoming vibe, I chose a neutral colour palette and simple, clean lines. Since in-house coffee roasting is a key part of their business, incorporating a coffee bean symbol into the logo felt like a natural and meaningful touch.
