Objective:
To create a campaign and complete visual rebrand of Buddy Check Coffee to promote the organization, increase national awareness and participation in Buddy Check Coffee gatherings, and foster a stronger peer support network for Canadian veterans (active or retired), first responders, and their families by using both print and digital media. Encouraging participation, reducing stigma around mental health, and fostering real connection through simple, no-pressure coffee meetups.
Solution:
I created the “We Got Your Six” campaign to help Buddy Check Coffee reach its goal of connecting more veterans and first responders with a safe, supportive community. I wanted a message that speaks their language, using a phrase they immediately relate to; one that communicates loyalty, trust, and understanding. By framing Buddy Check Coffee as a peer-led, no-pressure space, my aim was to remove the stigma around seeking support and make participation feel natural and inviting. Through authentic storytelling, simple and seamless visuals, and a warm, inclusive tone, this campaign encourages people to show up, connect, and know they’re not alone.
